History
The congregation of the Daughters of Jesus came into existence in the year 1834. Rev. Father Noury, Dean of Bigman, who had been force, during the years of the French Revolution, to flee from his parish in peril of his life, returned to find his people sadly neglected. Unable, in his failing health, to realize his plan of founding a religious order that would cope with the existing situation, his successor, Father Coeffic, carried out the plans of this zealous priest. His choice fell upon, Perrine Samson, a devoted worker capable of training other souls. By 1831, she had gathered several companions. In 1834, They pronounced their first vows.
